It’s been just over a year since Lisa Marie Presley died and Riley Keough is marking the anniversary with a big milestone in her life: her first Emmy nomination. While the 34-year-old actress is thrilled to be honored for her work in Daisy Jones & The Six, she’s also signaling that her feud with grandmother Priscilla Presley is officially over.
Not only was Keough there with her husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, but she was also accompanied by her grandmother on the Emmys red carpet. Wearing a stunning black organza gown designed by Chanel, Keough looked elegant in the modern ensemble. It had a deep V-neckline and pair of bee-print shorts underneath the see-through skirt. She wore her hair up in a very ’60s style half-up, half-down style with a stylish black bow flowing from the small ponytail on top of her head — it was a very Priscilla-inspired fashion moment.
Priscilla cut an elegant figure in a black silk blouse and skirt that was also created by Chanel. She stood proudly next to her granddaughter on the red carpet, and it’s clear that any hard feelings over Lisa Marie’s contested will are long gone. “It’s very special,” Keough told Entertainment Tonight of having her family with her at the Emmys. “I’m here with my grandmother and my husband. I feel lucky to have family here to support me.”
Priscilla questioned the “authenticity and validity” of her late daughter’s will which was amended in 2016. The adjustment had removed her and business manager Barry Siegel as the co-trustees and placed Keough and her late brother Benjamin Keough in control of the estate. The grandmother and granddaughter were able to come to an agreement in May that everyone was “pleased” with.
“My family has resolved all confusion as it relates to our plea to the court and request for document interpretation after my daughter Lisa Marie’s untimely passing,” Priscilla said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “Although the media identified such a plea as a lawsuit, I want to make clear that there was never any lawsuit filed against my beloved granddaughter.” With that legal issue out of the way, it’s clear that Keough and Priscilla have come back together in love and celebration.
