One year after Lisa Marie Presley’s sudden death, her eldest daughter Riley Keough is sharing the way she’ll be honoring her mother throughout 2024: by editing and promoting her late mom’s memoir.
On Jan 12, the Daisy Jones and the Six star shared an update on what she’s doing to help preserve her mother’s legacy. She shared the update to her Instagram with the caption reading, “I’m honored to help put my mother’s book out for her. Her autobiography will be out in October with @randomhouse and you can pre order it now with the link in my bio. ❤️💕 Lisamariebook.com.”
In the post, we see a release date, along with a throwback photo of Lisa Marie and Keough, with her natural blonde hair poking through, posing cheek to cheek for the snapshot. Now, it’s no secret that Keough has been working hard to protect her late mother’s image, and this time, she truly did the ultimate act of honoring her: letting her tell her story.
When you go to the website mentioned, it reads: “Born to an American myth and raised in the wilds of Graceland, Lisa Marie Presley was never truly understood . . . until now. So far, the title is already a number-one bestseller in the love and loss section on Amazon. It has no title or cover posted to it, but we also do know it’ll be around 300 pages, released on Oct 15, 2024, and published by Random House. And yes, we’re marking our calendars.
For those who don’t know, Lisa Marie had four children named Benjamin Keough, who passed away at 27, Riley, 34, and twins Harper Vivienne Ann and Finley Aaron Love Lockwood, 15. Tragically, Lisa Marie passed away at age 54 after going into cardiac arrest in Jan 2023.
